BARCELONA, Spain — Edge Brewing Barcelona is excited to announce that, Riley Finnigan, formerly of Avery Brewing Co. in Boulder, Colorado, will be joining the Edge team as Head Brewer.
Finnigan brings extensive knowledge and experience having brewed highly regarded beers including Maharaja, Tweak, and Raspberry Sour from Avery Brewing. His experience with Avery’s barrel program will only enhance Edge Brewing’s already successful “Barrica Series” barrel aging program.
“It is a dream come true to join the Edge team, who has established themselves not only as the premier brewery in Barcelona but a beloved brand around the world,” said Riley Finnigan. “The amazing city of Barcelona will be my inspiration to keep building on what Edge Brewing has already done as we carry on the spirit of exploration, experimentation and quality. “
Finnigan’s arrival to Edge Brewing coincides with the departure of Head Brewer Sean McLin who will continue leading the craft beer revolution around the world with a position in Singapore to oversee operations of a new facility. McLin’s legacy at Edge Brewing will always be remembered as not only the man with the best festival shirt, but also as the brewer who brought us over 40 different beers in his three years with the brewery and has made Edge staples such as Hoptimista IPA, Padrino Porter, and Apassionada Berliner Weiss what they are today.
“When I founded Edge Brewing in 2013 I could only dream of the success and growth we’ve had over the past few years,” said founder Scott Vanover. “With Sean’s passing of the torch to Riley, we are all excited to see how further Edge will grow in the years to come.”
