DOVER, DE — Dominion Octoberfest was awarded the bronze medal at the Great American Beer Festival in the Marzen style beer category.
One of Dominion’s seasonal offerings, Octoberfest is a traditional German Maerzen. An amber colored lager, it contains three hop varieties, Tradition, Saaz and Hallertau, and eight malts, including Vienna, Munich, Caramunich, Wheat, Dark Crystal, Carafoam and Chocolate. It is 6.0% ABV and 20 IBUs.
Walter Trifari, Dominion Head Brewer, stated, “Octoberfest has a long list of medals and we are happy to add to the collection. Unlike our year-round beers, we have not had the luxury of brewing several batches throughout the year in order to keep perfecting it. This is a testament that our brewery takes every batch very seriously from grain to glass. PROST!!”
This marks Dominion Octoberfest’s sixth GABF win. Additionally, it took silver at the Cap City Oktoberfest this year. It will return to shelves next year.
