MUKILTEO, WA — Plans for celebrating Diamond Knot Craft Brewing’s 20th anniversary are brewed. From parties to special release beers, the brew crew has decided to make it a year long celebration. And why not? Twenty years happen but once.
Marking the official day — Oct. 15 — the brewery will get the party started with an official toast at its flagship Brewery & Alehouse on the Mukilteo waterfront at 6 p.m. Toasting with the special 20th Anniversary Ale, which is a mash up of grand proportions: 666 Ale and Shipwreck XXXIPA, will be a must. If diehard DK fans need the original beers Diamond Knot launched with, DK’s India Pale Ale and Hefeweizen will be flowing, too.
On Saturday, Oct. 18, Diamond Knot will bring the party up to the Production Brewery & Taproom on Chennault Beach Road. From 2-8 p.m. Diamond Knot brews will be on tap, bands will keep the stage rocking and Los Chilangos will be serving up Mexican fare straight from their popular food truck. The music lineup includes all things beer and beer lover:
3 p.m. The Industrials, headed by DK’s VP of Brewing Ops Pat Ringe/Classic Rock
4 p.m. Trainreck with Odom Corp’s Darin Christensen/Classic Hard Rock-Metal
5 p.m. Four On The Floor with Washington Beer Blog’s own Kendall Jones/Classic Rock
6:30 p.m. Mary McPage & The Assassins, longtime DK fans, bring back Raw @ The Knot’s Mark Bittler and Jevon Powell for a reunion set/Classic to funk and everything in-between
The Production Brewery & Taproom will operate as a family-friendly space during the party, while the outdoor DK Beer Garden will be for those 21 and older. Music and food will be accessible to all.
Diamond Knot invites everyone to join in the fun, not just in October, but throughout the year. Diamond Knot brewers are planning special small batch releases of the anniversary ale throughout the year. It will be available at Diamond Knot locations, as well as speciality shops.
