DENVER — Call to Arms Brewing Company will release Shirtless Putin Nuzzling with Dolphins on Thursday, March 22nd. This Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Baltic Porter with Sweet Bloom Coffee offers flavors of vanilla, oak, and chocolate covered cherries. This is the second batch brewed of this beer and the 15th release in CTA’s Carriage House Series.
“You can’t unsee the imagery of a scantily clad Vladimir cuddling up to these friendly mammals of the sea,” said Chris Bell of Call to Arms Brewing Company. “It’s a bold image fit for a bold beer.”
A true Baltic Porter, Shirtless Putin Nuzzling with Dolphins was brewed with Czech Pils yeast and started as the brewery’s “Shirtless Putin on a Horse.” Seven different malts were blended and used in the original brew, along with the addition of Bravo hops. The beer was then aged in Four Roses bourbon barrels for months. To round out the beer and add even more complexity, the brewery added Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters Hometown Blend as the finishing touch.
At 11.7 percent ABV, this unique beer is a truly lagered Imperial Baltic Porter that is complex without being muddled. Shirtless Putin Nuzzling with Dolphins will be available in a limited release of 375 mL bottles and draft starting on March 22 at 3:00 p.m. Only 400 bottles will be available at $10 each.
“Putin has yet to respond to requests for endorsement, but we are actively pursuing it,” said Bell.
