BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Braven Brewing Company, a craft brewery based in Brooklyn, NY, recently celebrated the release of Moon Froot, a hazy, juicy, and aromatic New England-Style India Pale Ale. Moon Froot is Braven’s first offering in its Limited Edition 16oz Can Series.
Brewed with a blend of flaked oats, flaked barley, wheat malt and 2-row barley for a distinctly hazy appearance, Moon Froot’s pronounced tropical fruit, hoppy aroma and flavor is achieved by using Cryo Hops, a new hop processing method that concentrates the lupulin of whole-leaf hops containing resins and aromatic oils specifically designed to deliver a more intense hop aroma and flavor. Moon Froot is dry-hopped with ample helpings of EkuanotTM and Simcoe® hops for a blast of melon and papaya aromas.
“New England-style IPAs have been taking the craft beer nation by storm over the past year and for good reason,” said Marshall S. Thompson, co-founder and CEO of Braven. “We love how innovative breweries across the Northeast have created a deliciously unique style that’s been exported around the world. Moon Froot is our humble contribution to the ‘haze craze.’”
Moon Froot is Braven’s first style to be offered in 16oz cans and is currently available throughout New York City, Long Island, and Westchester. With a Double IPA debuting at the end of May and many more hop-focused creations in the works, IPA fans can look forward to more Limited Edition 16 oz cans from Braven every 6-8 weeks in the future.
