Overview
GOOD LIVING COMES FROM GOOD BREWING Nestled on the banks of Bassett Creek between Harrison & Bryn Mawr neighborhoods of northwestern Minneapolis, Utepils’ 18,000 square foot site features an iconic tap room, relaxing outdoor beer garden, and a full scale craft brewery dedicated to brewing delicious sessionable European style beers.
Good brewing starts with honoring the traditions of brewers who have gone before us. Our beer is brewed using the highest quality water from the historic Glenwood Inglewood wells to produce beer that is classic yet uniquely distinct. Using tried and true brewing practices, we seek to create a new tradition in the Twin Cities that brings friends and families together to share time and beer with one another.
European-inspired brewery Utepils Brewing announced today that guests can expect cleaner, filtered air thanks to its recent installment of an advanced air purification technology, engineered by Global Plasma Solutions (GPS).
European-inspired brewery Utepils Brewing and Cowboy Jack’s Saloon and Restaurant are pleased to announce their partnership to create a new Jack’s IPA recipe.
Utepils Brewing and iHeartMedia Minneapolis’s FM 100.3 KFAN, The Twin Cities Sports Leader, have teamed up to launch KFAN Unfiltered Blonde Ale, a European-style beer made in honor of Minnesota sports fans.
Minnesota Cricket Association (MCA) is proud to announce Minneapolis based Utepils Brewing as the official beer partner and Utepils as the official beer for Minnesota Cricket Association communities. Utepils beer will be the beer of choice for all Minnesota Cricket Association hosted sports, promotional and social events.
On August 2nd, Minneapolis-based Utepils Brewing will begin shipping their first cans to area liquor stores, debuting with three of their most popular styles: Alt 1848 (Düsseldorf Style Altbier), Copacetic (Kölsch Style), and Ewald the Golden (Bavarian Style Hefeweizen). Each style will be available as a four-pack of 16-ounce cans.
It’s pronounced “Ooh-ta-pilz” and it’s a Norwegian word for the first beer enjoyed outdoors in the sunshine after a long, cold winter. While Minnesotans are still several weeks from that kind of Utepils moment, the thrill of warm sun and tasty beer is in the air at Utepils Brewery. The highly anticipated facility will open their Fernweh Taproom to the public next month, with a grand opening February 18, 2017.
Utepils Brewing Company is now under construction at the former Glenwood-Inglewood bottling plant. Construction crews will be working throughout the summer to get the equipment installed and taproom ready to open by late summer.
Residents of North Minneapolis in the Bryn Mawr, Harrison and surrounding neighborhoods are now seeing the transformation of the former Glenwood-Inglewood bottling plant into Utepils Brewing Company. Plans for the European-inspired craft brewery were approved by the City of Minneapolis in early April.
