Kansas City Bier Company: Der Hammer
Official description from the brewery:
“Der Hammer” is an idiomatic term used in German to express something “extreme and exceptional,” and that is what we consider this hop-forward, high-alcohol lager to be. Der Hammer is our American interpretation of a high-impact German Doppelbock that pounds the palate with a big, clean, slightly sweet, pale malt backbone balanced by a delicate, but powerful, noble hop bitterness. It is heavily dry-hopped with Saphir and Huell Melon from the famous Hallertau Valley that are overflowing with citrus, melon, and flora aromas
