Overview
Founded in 1991, Rohrbach Brewing Co. is Rochester’s first craft brewery. The brewing company takes its name from Rohrbach, Germany, a small town that inspired its founder to bring craft beer to Rochester. With the recent craft beer boom in Upstate New York, we take pride in our region and cherish the loyalty we’ve built for over 25 years. Rohrbachs believes in brewing timeless beers; we continue to brew our tried-and-true while exploring the diverstiy that craft beer can be. We can’t wait to see what comes next.
Genesee Country Village & Museum, located in Mumford, NY, is teaming up with Rohrbach Brewing Company to produce the Museum’s historical beers, which can be found on tap at GCV&M’s multiple restaurants and Freight House Pub, part of an 1849 railroad complex .
Best known for its classic Scotch Ale, Rohrbach Brewing Co. masters the darker side of beer. Malt-forward ales like Vanilla Porter, Griddle Cakes, and Instruments of Darkness Milk Stout have become local favorites. Now, Rohrbachs is taking this trademark a step further with a new product line: barrel-aged beers.
Three Heads brewer Derek Armstrong and Rohrbach brewer Joel Will have developed a recipe (over the phone, of course) that combines two locally beloved brews–Space Kitty and The Kind.
Rohrbach Brewing Co. is excited to announce its release of Radle On, a lemon radler brewed as part of the brewery’s small-batch ‘Neoteric Series’. German for “cyclist,” this radler is a crisp ale blended with fresh lemon for a light, refreshing pint. It’s a thirst-quenching sessionable summer brew perfect for all things fun in the sun.
