MassDevelopment — a public-private economic development agency that works to stimulate economic growth across Massachusetts — has issued a $7.7 million tax-exempt bond on behalf of Landreau Realty, LLC, a real estate entity for Tree House Brewing, to help the company build its new 150,000 barrel brewing facility.

Brown Distributing, a Florida-based beer wholesaler that sells products from more than 60 U.S. craft breweries across the entire state, is in the process of selling the rights to a variety of craft brands in some of its central and northern markets. Craft beer is back on the 2016 legislative agenda in Georgia. A forthcoming bill, drafted by Rep. Ron Stephens (R-Savannah), could be introduced as early as next week and include favorable changes to the way small beer and spirits producers operate. Though unfinished, the bill is expected to address brewery tours, retail allowances and food service permits, according to Stephens, who was reached by Brewbound.
