DENVER (Dec. 3, 2024)— The Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG), a nonprofit trade organization for independent craft breweries in the State of Craft Beer, proudly announces the return of the 10th Annual Colorado Pint Day on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Colorado Pint Day is a time-honored tradition that has developed a cult following throughout the years with beer lovers flocking to participating breweries to pick up the limited edition glassware.
The CBG’s beloved fundraiser supports local craft breweries and is always held on a Wednesday during a typically slower season for breweries. $1 of each pint glass sold is also donated to the Colorado Brewers Guild to support the nonprofit trade association’s mission of promoting, protecting, and propelling its members through advocacy, education, and public awareness.
“It’s awe-inspiring to see how the Colorado Pint Day glasses have evolved over the course of 10 years, from a simple CBG logo to numerous themes and designs created by local artists,” says CBG Communications Manager Carrie Knose Wilson. “This is definitely a labor of love from the craft beer industry that you’ll want to clear your cupboard for!”
For the past four years, the CBG has hosted an art competition for beer-loving local creatives. This year, Leanne Bridie produced the winning design for the 2025 theme: Beer is for Everyone.
Bridie got her start at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York where she fell into design work quickly out of school and would later move to Nashville and finally Denver where she calls home. Over the course of ten years, Bridie has worked as a creative designer and director focused on web and content and has since expanded to brand identity and development, packaging, and illustration. Finding beer-centric art a passion, Bridie has previously won a 2023 coaster design competition held by Cohesion Brewing and has designed label artwork for Novel Strand Brewing.
“Aesthetically, I am very inspired by antique/vintage/retro illustration styles and print methods. While I’ve had a lot of fun with the ‘rubber-hose’ mascot style, this direction became a bit more developed since I had more anatomy to play with. I have a real soft spot for exaggerated anatomy in figure drawing,” says Bridie. “My aim for this design was to spark an element of nostalgia and playfulness, but staying current. Simplicity was key for being able to read well as a screen print on a pint glass, so the style adopted the feel of a polished sharpie drawing.”
The CBG hit record-breaking numbers last year for Colorado Pint Day with more than 225 participating locations across the state.
Artist’s statement:
BEER IS FOR EVERYONE!
It is not so strange to represent people with animals.
From folklore, to mythology, religion and astrology, we’ve been connecting with animals since the dawn of time. We find kindred spirits in animals. We’re told we have the social values of a wolf, the sleep patterns of a bear, that we’re water signs, and have tokens and charms in nature. We respect animals as if they’re friends. It’s something most of us can agree on; in a time when agreement can be especially challenging.
The things we can universally find commonality in can be difficult. Beer can serve as a mode of connection, difference in taste, celebration, respect, and enjoyment — just like our love and appreciation for animals.
In true Colorado form, this concept includes a wolf, Blucifer the horse, a bass, and a goose; all donned in common Colorado-Starter-Pack attire.
Ironically, beer is not for animals. Please don’t give beer to animals.
“Winning a competition held by a nonprofit like Colorado Brewers Guild, who supports such an awesome community, is very exciting. I am honored and humbled by this win and would be grateful to serve as a resource for more local businesses in need of creative work,” says Bridie.
The list of participating breweries for Colorado Pint Day will be announced at a later time. For more information about Colorado Pint Day, contact Chea Franz at Chea@IndieCreativeCo.com.
