Newport, Ore. – Rogue Ales & Spirits is excited to announce the release of two new Oktoberfest-inspired beers: Das Heir Ist Für John and Oktoberfest '24. These seasonal brews honor the spirit of the world’s most iconic beer festival and pay homage to Rogue's legendary brewmaster, John Maier. Oktoberfest has a special place in Rogue’s heritage with both John and current Brewmaster Joel Shields attending Siebel Institute of Technology in Munich where they discovered their strong affinity and love for German-style beers. These festive beers will be available on draft at Rogue pubs this September, just in time for fall.
Oktoberfest '24 For those seeking a more traditional flavor, Rogue Brewers created Oktoberfest '24, a Märzen brewed with Sterling and Perle hops. With hints of biscuit and honey, this 5.0% ABV beer delivers a smooth maltiness with a touch of hoppiness. It’s a clean and crisp representation of the classic Oktoberfest-style beer, ideal for celebrating the season.
"Oktoberfest is about tradition, and this Märzen brings out the best of that with its smooth malty character and just enough hop balance to keep things interesting on the taste buds," Rogue Brewmaster Joel Shields adds.
