Packaging Lead

This individual will be responsible for running our 25 CPM Codi can line including regular maintenance and managing packaging materials. There is ample opportunity to cross-train and work in the cellar, brewhouse, and lab. Benefits include 401K and Health Insurance.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow policies and SOPs and keep accurate records
• Properly use and maintain equipment and tools
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Clean and sanitize the filler and other equipment
• Setup and run the canning line including the depalletizer and tunnel pasteurizer
• Understand product and material specifications and their effect on quality
• Order and maintain inventory

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Able to safely work with chemical and physical hazards is required
• Able to lift 55 pounds and maneuver up to 165 pounds
• Able to work on your feet for up to 8 hours a day and climb a 12-foot ladder
• Able to drive a forklift with training
• Strong organization and time management skills
• A desire for cleanliness with attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety
• Education or experience in engineering, microbiology, or chemistry
• Packaging, cellar, production, lab, or similar experience preferred
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using tools
