EASTON, Pa. — After 14 years with Weyerbacher Brewing, Chris Wilson will be leaving his position as Brewmaster to pursue another opportunity with Free Will Brewing in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. Wilson will step into the role of Chief Production Officer at Free Will.
“Weyerbacher has allowed me to grow as a brewer and as a manager,” Chris stated when asked to reflect on his time at Weyerbacher.
Wilson joined Weyerbacher Brewing in 2004 and was instrumental in helping them grow into a regional craft brewery. His vision, extensive knowledge of the industry and creativity allowed Weyerbacher to grow their portfolio to include award winning beers Sunday Morning Stout, Imperial Pumpkin Ale and Riserva.
“Chris has been a valuable team member and a great asset to Weyerbacher. While we’re definitely sorry to see him go, we’re excited for him as he looks forward to this next chapter, “ said Josh Lampe, Chief Operating Officer of Weyerbacher.
Members of Weyerbacher’s brewing and production teams will collectively fill the void left by Wilson’s departure.
