Midland, MI – Midland Brewing Company of Midland, Michigan, will roll out a limited release of its “Silver Jack Driscoll” Russian Imperial Stout to retailers across Michigan, beginning March 8. The beer will come packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce cans.
Midland Brewing Company’s take on the “king of stouts” is full-bodied, pleasantly hoppy and robust. It is named for one of Michigan’s most famous lumberjacks, John “Silver Jack” Driscoll (1853-1895). Driscoll was a burly man whose legacy has grown over the years to mythic proportions, where some say he could bend a railroad spike with his bare hands and end a brawl with one punch.
Silver Jack is one of several new beers recently added to Midland Brewing Company’s production schedule. The brewery also opened a new brewpub in February after extensive renovations, and is nearing completion of a beer garden scheduled to open in spring 2017, which will include easy access for walkers and bicyclers on Midland’s Pere Marquette Rail Trail.
Midland Brewing Company is working with Griffin Beverage Company for distribution to retailers throughout Michigan. More information is available at midlandbrewing.com.

About Midland Brewing Company
Midland Brewing Company is run by a small, passionate group of entrepreneurs who wish to carry on the legacy of the original Midland Brewing Company, which closed during the Great Depression. MBC reopened in 2010 on North Saginaw Road, and honors Midland’s early history – defined by the lumber, railroad and beer industries – through innovative, well-balanced takes on classic beer flavors. MBC contains a brewpub, a retail room, and a beer garden opening in spring 2017.
