OLYMPIA, Wash. – Fish Brewing Co is gearing up for the special release of their Imperial Stout, Poseidon. One of the beers to put Fish on the map Poseidon has not been released since 2005. Named after the Greek god of Sea and water, Poseidon is an award-winning Imperial Stout of Olympian distinction.
A heavily roasted flavor that includes dark cocoa and hints of peat smoke are its full-bodied landmark. Barrel aged over 18 months in Bourbon and Cabernet Sauvignon barrels this noble tonic is born of Northwest Pale Ale malt, plus chocolate, caramel, and peated malts. With Columbus hops for bittering and a late addition of Cascade hops for flavor. Poseidon possesses a robust dry nuttiness balanced by a serene sweetness. Enjoy with chocolate and dessert!
Hand bottled at the brewery in Olympia, Washington this imperial stout brings true meaning to the phrase “special release”. You can purchase Poseidon for a limited time at our new Pub & Eatery in Point Ruston, our flagship pub in Olympia, or our taproom in Woodinville.
