South Deerfield, MA – Berkshire Brewing Company is pleased to announce that effective January 20, the entire Cider of Spain portfolio will be available to its customers in Massachusetts. With ciders mostly from the Asturias region in northwest Spain where the cider culture dates back to Roman Times, these exemplify some of the most prized ciders in the world due to their wild yeast fermentation, funky and earthy qualities, and mix of sour and tart flavors from the unusual apples grown in the region. They truly define what complex, artisan cider can be.
“BBC is known for producing a wide range of excellent ales & lagers – these ciders will be a nice complement to us continuing to bringing our customers the best,” said Gary Bogoff, BBC President and Founder. A large part of the enthusiasm for these unusual beverages comes from extremely knowledgeable craft beer lovers, the heart of our customer base.”
James Asbel, Ciders of Spain Founder & President added “We are thrilled to be working with BBC which has such a long established record of excellence in the state and such great relationships with restaurants and retailers. We are sure that they will be a wonderful partner as we introduce beer and cider lovers to our exciting offerings.”
Ciders of Spain features a wide range of styles from still to sparkling, as well as a pear and a frost dessert cider. Select producers include Fanjul, Angelon & Riestra.
