Kent, WA – Beginning Thursday, February 12, Western Washington area craft beer lovers can begin stocking up on Airways Brewing Company’s® #AvGeek Hoppy Pale Ale. This beer is being brewed in conjunction with AirlineReporter.com to be available in time for the annual Aviation Geek Fest.

“From the theme of our brewery, it’s obvious I’m an AvGeek,” said Alex Dittmar, founder and head brewer at Airways Brewing Company. “As we near our 5th anniversary, it seems like a good time to celebrate the other passion we have besides beer.”

“On behalf of myself and the entire AirlineReporter team, we’re excited to partner with Airways Brewing to celebrate this AvGeek-themed beer,” said David Parker Brown, Editor-In-Chief and founder of AirlineReporter. “At Aviation Geek Fest, we celebrate the best of Puget Sound aviation with readers from around the world.  It’s only fitting that we toast the experience with an amazing aviation-themed brew.”

#AvGeek Hoppy Pale Ale features experimental hop 07270 from Hopsteiner in Yakima—hop “727” so to speak— the perfect hop for an airliner-enthusiast beer. After all, what true AvGeek doesn’t like the 727? At 6.1% and 50 IBU, this beer is designed to showcase the hop flavors and aroma, and also be extremely balanced.

#AvGeek Hoppy Pale Ale will be available on draught and in 22-ounce bottles at both Airways locations and select specialty bottle shops starting February 12th.
