Adam Warrington, who led Anheuser-Busch’s corporate social responsibility team for nearly three years, has left the world’s largest beer manufacturer.
Warrington spent more than seven years with A-B, previously serving as head of communications for the company’s craft beer division, then called The High End, now the Brewers Collective.
“I was lucky to have an incredible 7.5 years at Anheuser-Busch,” Warrington told Brewbound. “It was never dull, frequently challenging and always fulfilling. I met and partnered with some incredible colleagues along the way and I am a far better professional after learning from their expertise and perspective.
“Moving forward, I’m going to take a short hiatus and take on a new challenge in the near-term.”
An A-B spokesperson shared the following statement on Warrington’s exit from the company: “Adam Warrington informed us that he has accepted a new role and will be leaving Anheuser-Busch to pursue a new professional opportunity. We thank Adam for his many years of service and wish him very well in his next step.”
A-B has yet to announcement a replacement for Warrington as VP of corporate social responsibility.
As VP of corporate social responsibility, Warrington helped direct A-B’s Better World platform with a focus on community affairs, responsible drinking and sustainability communications, including the company’s emergency drinking water program, the “Drink Wiser” program and the company’s 2025 sustainability goals.
During his time with A-B’s craft division, Warrington co-created the Elevate platform, which identified change programs for A-B’s craft partners, including harnessing wind and solar energy to power its breweries, on-package date coding, charitable giving and educational programs, according to his LinkedIn page.
Warrington joined A-B as senior director of corporate communications in October 2013. He previously worked as executive director of global PR agency Golin and manager of external communications for steel and mining company, ArcelorMittal.
