Long-time brewmaster Andy Schwartz has landed the top brewing job at Milford, Connecticut-based Dockside Brewery. Milford, Delaware-based Mispillion River Brewing has hired Claus Hagelman as its new director of sales. Non-alcoholic craft brewery Athletic Brewing has hired Rosalie Kennedy as its first marketing manager.
Mispillion River Brewing has signed a distribution agreement with Specialty Beverage, expanding the availability of their product line to Virginia.

Mispillion River Brewing will release Threat Level Purple, their Imperial IPA, in cans on July 9th at noon. Mispillion has hinted at the upcoming release on their Facebook page over the past month through the use of color themed images. Threat Level Purple was first publicized with a happy blue image and has gradually moved to a red image depicting a nuclear melt down. Once the image turns purple, customers will be able to purchase the beer.
Mispillion River Brewing will be releasing the 2016 edition of Short ‘N Stout, a bourbon barrel aged stout, in honor of Patrolman Chad E. Spicer, on May 7th. Mispillion River Brewing will release Not Today Satan, an IPA, to distribution in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania at the end of April. The recipe for Not Today Satan was formulated by head brewer, Ryan Maloney. For this beer, he relied on the tropical flavors of El Dorado, Mosaic, Centennial, Cascade, and Columbus hops. Peach notes come through on the front end of the beer and it is well balanced against the 7.3% ABV.
Mispillion River Brewing has signed a distribution agreement with Stockertown Beverage, expanding the availability of their craft beers to Eastern Pennsylvania. Mispillion selected Stockertown, the distributors of the Founders, Bear Republic, and Free Will Brewing brands, after months of research. The brewery’s core brands, such as Reach Around IPA, Space Otter Pale Ale, and Holy Crap Imperial Red Ale will be shipped to area retailers beginning in March.

In honor of Halloween and the latest season of “The Walking Dead,” Mispillion River Brewing has released zombie versions of its cans. With the help of Connecticut artist, Tom Ryans, the brewery converted the images on their beers Reach Around IPA, Space Otter Pale Ale, Black Tie Black IPA, and Holy Crap! Imperial Red Ale to zombies.
