Beginning with a bread like smoothness, the hop krieg quickly transitions into a bright, bitter, and crisp beer. With the continued notes of citrus, grass, and berries from the aroma, the bitterness is aggressive, yet does not obliterate the senses. The malting provides a sweet and smooth full body, not strong enough to balance the bitterness, but with enough impact to ensure the drinker is not bowled over. The crisp ending leaves the mouth dry and clean, ready for another taste.
