DURANGO, CO – Today, Ska Brewing announced their Great American Beer Festival (GABF) schedule. The Durango-based brewery will fill pints at a medley of special events around town. The events culminate on Friday night with a limited beer release of Taster’s Choice alongside a concert with The Pietasters, presented by Ska, DC Brau, and Beer Advocate at the Marquis Theater.

For the second straight year Ska Brewing and Peach Street Distillers have teamed up with Freshcraft to create a unique beer and barrel aged cocktail for the GABF crowd. This year there was a call to palates from south of the border. Enter DaSkave de Fuego, a heavily hopped Extra Pale Ale infused with tropical fruit and habanero, aged in a Peach Street D’Agave Gold barrel. After the beer was transferred from the barrel, the team filled the barrel with more Peach Street D’Agave and other great ingredients to create the DaSKAve Bam Bam. Both of these beverages will be available to try after the Thursday evening GABF session.

DC Brau, Ska Brewing Co and Beer Advocate bring you The Pietasters with special guests. The Pietasters, a ska revival band, will provide tunes to accompany the special release of the DC Brau/Ska Brewing collaboration beer, named after their song, Taster’s Choice. Taster’s Choice is a medium bodied doppelbock with pleasant coffee flavors and aroma that increase as it warms. With classic flavors of toffee, toast, dark fruit and cocoa balanced with light earthy hops. This beer will have you singing, “Now this must be taster’s choice.”
