Electrical engineering conglomerate Siemens announced today it would launch a national advertisement highlighting how its automation technology has facilitated growth at The Saint Louis Brewery.
The ad, titled, “American Manufacturing is Brewing Something Big,” features Siemens’ BRAUMAT Compact PCS7 system, which was used to automate Schlafly’s St. Louis brewhouse and double its production capacity.
On top of production growth, the ad illustrates how BRAUMAT has helped maintain consistent quality, boost sales and hire within the community.
“Schlafly’s remarkable ability to increase production by 50 percent in less than two years was a story that we simply had to tell,” said Ed Montgomery, industry manager for Siemens Food & Beverage in a press release.
The system, the statement adds, helped to increase daily production efficiency by 30 percent.
James Ottolini, head of brewing operations for the brewery said the system made it possible to maintain consistency with its product as it went through the period of growth.
“We have great and talented people who bring our beers to life every day. Working with Siemens gave us greater control to brew more with consistent results. We have all our customers, excellent staff and our work with Siemens to thank for this success.”
