NOVATO, Calif. — Moylan’s Brewmaster, Derek Smith, needs your attention. He wants you to know that starting today you can stop by the Novato, CA. brewery for an exceptionally fresh can of his Wet Hop American Summer Hazy IPA.
Unlike most IPAs, Smith’s recipe uses only freshly picked hops, direct from the farm and within hours of being harvested.
Moylan’s Wet Hop American Summer Hazy IPA is an ode to hop lovers! It’s made with pilsner malt, wheat, oats and more than 100 lbs of fresh Chinook hops from nearby Hops-Meister Farms in Clearlake, CA.
“The hops used in this batch of Wet Hop American Summer Hazy IPA were picked in the morning and were delivered to Moylan’s around noon to be put in the whirlpool shortly thereafter along with Citra CryoPowder,” Smith said. The brewmaster handpicked each of the hops for their specific flavors, including Chinook for its grapefruit and pine-like quality, and Citra for its more intense tropical fruit wallop.
Moylan’s Wet Hop American Summer Hazy IPA will be available at the brewery in 16-ounce cans and at select San Francisco Bay Area stores.
