Novato, California — Moylan’s Brewing Company is thrilled to announce its season slate of summer beers. This line-up of five hand-crafted and original beers have traditionally been hits with customers. Some are returning favorites, and some are making their debut.
Watermelon Wheat – This summer seasonal beer is only brewed twice a year. This American Wheat beer uses watermelon from California’s Central Valley along with a combination of pomegranate juice, Hibiscus leaves and a hint of ginger to create a light and refreshing flavor reminiscent of summer.
Afternoon Tea Light – An English style summer ale/ESB, this beer is dry hopped with Styrian Golding Hops and infused with over eight pounds of Earl Grey Tea. The combination creates a beer with a pleasant and spicy aroma for flavorful, sessionable, and easy drinking.
Hop Craic XXXXIPA – Meet our take on an American Quadruple/Imperial IPA. Coming in at 10.6% ABV and 120 IBUs, this hophead favorite mixes a combination of hops including, Citra, Eldorado and Simcoe. A hop-forward beer, that boasts a sweet tropical aroma.
Plum Saison – Once thought to be falling out of favor with beer drinkers, Farmhouse Ales are now all the rage. Our Plum Saison is a classic Farmhouse Ale that’s made using wort fermented with a Belgian yeast strain. Then we add more than 300 pounds of Oregon plums for a considerably complex beer with a wonderful fresh plum taste.
Hopgarten Pilsner – A classic German Pilsner that is well hopped, golden and at just 4.5% ABV, this brew isn’t likely to get you in much trouble. The foundation of this beer is Pilsner Malts and Noble Hops Imported from Germany. Together they help create a mild hop bitterness with some residual sweetness.
Like any good seasonal or speciality beer, this lineup is limited in nature. Once they’re gone, you’ll have to wait next year. Come visit soon!
