The Account Manager - Southeast is responsible for managing sales to small and mid-size brewery clients within Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia. The candidate must live in the territory.


The ideal candidate will be a performance-driven, self-starter, with advanced knowledge of hops and the brewing process as well as excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills. This position works as part of the sales team to build the Crosby Hops brand in the assigned territory with specified sales goals. Travel is required to meet and exceed company goals with account visits, trade shows, guild meetings, etc.


Crosby Hops is a family-owned hop grower, processor, and merchant based in Woodburn, Oregon. We work symbiotically with our own fifth-generation farm growing 750-acres of hops, and a group of select grower partners, to consistently source world-class hops to process into high-quality hop products and deliver best-in-class customer experience. Our modern and sophisticated pelleting facility produces Type 90 and CGX hop pellets that offer exceptional capabilities and flavor for craft brewers.


Responsibilities:

• 75% of time working remotely from home office managing existing business and engaging in new client acquisition through prospecting, including cold calls via phone or email.

• 25% of time traveling for sales calls or meetings in territory, attending trade shows, supporting harvest activities at the farm.

• Work with the Team Lead to build and execute a strategic sales plan for assigned territory including annual goals for spot and contract sales.

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within the territory to drive long-term retention and growth.

• Lead effective sales process including communicating Crosby’s unique value propositions, hop products, purchasing options, closing, and follow-up.

• Manage sales process in CRM (HubSpot) with high level of detail and professionalism to maximize efficiency and information retrieval.

• Monitor status and encourage customers to take delivery of contracted hops.

• Collaborate with Key Account Managers and various Crosby Hops departments (Customer Success, Accounting, Production, Quality, Warehouse) to provide a seamless customer experience.

• Professionally represent the Crosby Hops brand while emphasizing innovation, quality, service, and integrity.

• Collaborate and share best practices with Crosby Hops peers.

• Contribute to Crosby Hops’ culture of continuous improvement and innovation by suggesting improvements to process, facilities, customer experience, etc.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in a sales or business development role with proven track record of exceeding sales quotas is required.

• Demonstrated passion for the craft beer industry.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience prospecting, cold calling, and opening new accounts. 

• Previous experience working on an incentive-based compensation plan.

• Ability to work from our headquarters in Woodburn, OR multiple times throughout the year.

• Must reside near a major airport.


This position offers a base salary plus bonus pool. Benefits include generous medical, dental, vision, retirement, and PTO packages.
