The largest brewery group in Wyoming, composed of Melvin Brewing Company and Roadhouse Brewing Company, is seeking a VP of Sales and Marketing to lead our dynamic team. This role will oversee strategic growth and development in our business and act as a key leader in our operation, composed of two manufacturing breweries located 35 miles apart, and three unique brewpub locations in Jackson Hole and Alpine, WY.


Pure Madness is focused on strategically growing by continuing to develop quality products, highly visible brands, strong consumer retention, and high levels of employee satisfaction. Our distribution footprint is 18-states wide and we are seeing consistent, high reaching growth in our key markets. Our marketing strategy focuses on consumer pull-through, segmenting Pure Madness brands from the masses, and reinforcing our brand promises while increasing brand awareness.


This is a hands-on leadership role that requires someone with the ability and desire to impact the organization’s growth and development. This position will join a high-performance culture driven by continuous improvement. This role will be supported by a talented sales and marketing team, Pure Madness C-suite and its company founders.


Position Mission: To grow Pure Madness Brewery Group’s sales and marketing efforts through existing and new market development, staff training and process enforcement, KPI and budget development and analysis and market innovation incubation.


Overview: As the senior sales leader, this position is accountable for overall sales and marketing organization performance, the development and achievement of sales organization goals, the instruction and implementation of our marketing plan, and the alignment of sales and marketing objectives with business strategy. This role needs to work closely with production to manage order fulfillment and seasonal release awareness. This role requires agility, swift decision-making and travel to key markets.


Qualifications:

  • Strategic and forward thinking;
  • 5+ Years’ experience in sales and marketing leadership with a preference for the craft beer industry;
  • Talent and passion for brand development;
  • Ability to direct effective social media outreach;
  • Problem solving and customer service adeptness;
  • Understanding of the beer industry;
  • Skills to develop people and teams;
  • Healthy and active communication;
  • Design experience a plus;
  • Experience with InDesign, IRI, VIP, GP Analytics and / or Crafted ERP software a plus.


Job Expectations:

  • Staff management, including developing and training on key tactics, go-to-market strategies and in-market activation;
  • Distributor management, including meeting with partners regularly, identifying key market opportunities, supporting product mix goals and new releases and managing databases;
  • PR Firm management to drive effective mainstream news releases;
  • Growth management, including working with partners and staff to meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share and KPIs;
  • Cultural impact, including maintaining a healthy and positive working relationship with partners, developing a high-performance staff culture with clear accountability, working closely with internal coworker leaders to identify opportunities and track programming;
  • Administrative efforts, including managing VIP, IRI and GP Analytics, analyzing the business and reporting to key leaders, identifying new sales and marketing opportunities and presenting them with a plan and ROI.

Location:

This role may be local or based remotely, with a preference for home base to be in one of our existing Rocky Mountain Region markets.

Travel:

This role will travel approximately 20% of the time to key markets.
