Midwest Area Sales Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible tor developing and managing Seattle Cider business in the Midwest markets of Illinois and Wisconsin. Works with National Sales Director to ensure sales and distribution targets are achieved across all assigned distributors. Executes within all the three tiers, realizing Seattle Cider Company’s full potential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage wholesale network in IL & WI with the goal of increasing market share, growing volume and achieving profit targets;
- Work with the National Sales Director to develop and communicate marketing programs, distribution updates, pricing, and promotional activity to the sales team and wholesalers;
- Report monthly business status to the National Sales Director, including any issues, opportunities and progress vs. plan;
- Track execution on all sales programs, including surveying chain stores for display and distribution;
- Conduct annual business plan (ABP) for assigned region’s wholesalers;
- Manage all pricing changes and new item set-up for assigned wholesalers;
- Maintain market awareness, stay in touch with the team, including the national accounts team, sales reps, wholesalers and key accounts;
- Operate within an established budget;
- Approve invoices, expenses and bill-backs for the given territory;
- Operate within established state and federal liquor laws;
- Work with the Marketing Team & NSD to create distributor incentives that will help drive cases to the floor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must live in the Chicago metro area;
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred);
- Minimum 5 years in the alcohol industry with experience leading and developing people;
- Ability to effectively lead teams using effective motivation, training, and execution;
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve company business plan goals, including volume, distribution, and profitability;
- Excellent communication, organizational, time management and planning skills;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and persuasively present complex information;
- Proven history of sales success;
- MUST be proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
- Clean driving record;
- Travel up to 75%.
COMPENSATION: $70,000-80,000 per year, salaried exempt, DOE
