JOB TITLE: BREWERY TAPROOM MANAGER
SUPERVISOR: Director of Operations
SALARY RANGE: $70,000 – $85,000

POSITION SUMMARY:
As we thoughtfully renovate a new taproom that will house our company portfolio, we’re seeking a high-energy professional with a depth of experience in, and knowledge of, the beer industry! This position presents an exciting opportunity to work with high level management for three of Buffalo’s prominent brewery brands – Community Beer Works, Thin Man Brewery, and Smoldered Society Beer Company. You'll work with our leadership team to curate a full, fun, and exciting, beer-forward taproom experience.
Highlights of the position include, but are not limited to, managing taproom operations from top to bottom, coordinating beer releases across our company portfolio, taproom event planning, menu development & copywriting, and working with our Marketing department to develop event and taproom promotions.

- Promote and encourage diversity amongst taproom staff
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and manage taproom projects/events via budgeting, establishing timelines, internal communication, cost efficiencies, and general project management
- Develop quarterly programming, customer incentives, and menu changes
- Identify staffing needs and execute scheduling taproom employees
- Identify marketing needs/opportunities to generate taproom traffic and sales
- Manage POS software via menu and retail pricing implementation, organization, identifying maintenance needs, running sales reports and identifying growth areas
- Manages compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, licensing, and codes
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspire and lead the taproom management team via constructive, creative leadership initiatives
- Implement and maintain taproom SOPs for FOH staff
- Ensure all employees observe company policies, adhere to health and safety regulations, and comply with local, state, and federal alcohol control laws and regulations.
- Establish creative, motivational employee incentives
- Inspire employee work ethic via execution of taproom industry best practices
- Coordinate with BOH staff on menu changes, inventory, and general information
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- High level knowledge of beer – brewing, service standards, and stylistic knowledge. Bonus points for Cicerone Level 2 completion, or higher
- 2+ years of brewery taproom management experience
- 4+ years of brewery taproom service experience
- Strong communication skills across all levels of business hierarchy
- Strong leadership skills
- Proficient in cash management
- Physically active and able to work long periods in a fast paced bar and dining environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent project management skills
