Position: Head Brewer / Master Brewer


About Us:

Good Nature Brewery is a state-of-the-art facilities located just south of Syracuse in Hamilton. adjacent to Colgate University. We have been recognized for our innovative beers including a gold medal at the recent State Competition and strong community presence. We seek an experienced and passionate Head Brewer to lead our brewing operations. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in our expansion, including distribution to new markets.


Responsibilities:

  • Brewing Operations: Oversee all aspects of the brewing process, from recipe development to production, ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation as well as Kegging and packaging.
  • Ability to work with 100 BBL 6 Vessel brewhouse.
  • Team Player: Able to work with others and share equipment in a collective space with other brewers.
  • Quality Control: Maintain rigorous quality control standards, conducting regular testing and adjustments to ensure the highest quality products.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to brewing, packaging, and distribution.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of brewing equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
  • Inventory Management: Manage raw materials, inventory, and production schedules to meet demand and minimize waste.
  • Distribution: Develop and execute strategies for distribution, including managing relationships with distributors, ensuring timely deliveries, and expanding market reach.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, developing new products and improving existing offerings to keep our brewery at the forefront of the craft beer scene.


Requirements:

  • Experience is 3-5 Years of professional brewing experience
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local, state, and federal brewing regulations, particularly related to distribution.
  • Skills: Proven expertise in recipe development, quality control, and distribution. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand up 12 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary $65,000 - $75,000 annually paid weekly.
  • We offer relocation assistance and or minimal daily travel reimbursements.
  • Sign on bonus of up to $5,000.
  • Performance Bonuses based on key metrics.
