The San Diego Craft Beer market is evolving and sales is requiring new tactics and unrelenting energy to stand out. Rouleur Brewing Company is an independent craft brewery in Carlsbad, CA looking to grow throughout San Diego County.

SUMMARY

Rouleur Brewing Company is in need of a full-time Sales Representative The position will be focused on the promotion and sale of our company’s top-notch, high quality core and specialty beers. This candidate will be responsible for promoting the retail trade of the brewery and serving as the first point of contact from the brewery to retailers. The ideal candidate will be reliable, honest, self-motivating, and hungry to help build our seven-year-old beer brand.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Rouleur Brewing Company Core Values, Purpose, and Philosophies.
• Focus on increasing market share of core and specialty beers through existing account base and new accounts.
• Work with existing accounts on a designated schedule (i.e., weekly, biweekly, monthly basis), with the goal of increasing package distribution on- and off-premise and increase draft presence in each market.
• Identify new markets that are not being penetrated and develop a plan to establish business relationships with these accounts.
• Provide new and existing accounts with information about products, brand, quality, package, placement, presentation, new account openings, and key contacts.
• Plan and execute a weekly/bi-weekly plan of goals and account calls within each wholesale territory and complete calls to local buyers, decision makers, and key account managers.
• Plan and execute a calendar of promotional events with key retailers geared towards building sales and distribution.
• Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point of sale items to increase visibility of the brand.
• Assist at all special events and festivals in the territory.
• Conduct wait staff and bartender training, beer tastings, and promotions.
• Complete all required logs, paperwork, and forms to document sales and/or expenses.
• Forecast seasonal brand execution and track results.
• Embrace brewery brands and culture and deliver on our mission to the wholesale and retail customers.
• Open new accounts through networking and other measures.
• Maintain professional image and demeanor at all times.
• Maintain and report on an expense budget within the given parameters.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Help in delivering products to customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be a self-starter/self-motivated.
• Able to work a flexible schedule; able to work nights and weekends.
• Possess excellent organizational, planning, and sales skills.
• Possess working knowledge of beer and the local craft beer industry.
• Possess strong knowledge and enforcement of ABC laws.
• Possess awareness of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws.
• Able to lift heavy objects (25 – 50 lbs.) on a continual basis. Able to transport up to 160 lbs. (full kegs) with assistance.
• Able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Able to work in crowded and confined spaces.
• Able to maintain excellent customer service and high level of ethics while working under pressure.
• Must own a reliable car.
• Must possess a valid California Driver’s License of appropriate class for delivery vehicles and have a documented safe driving record for a minimum of one year.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Excellent oral, analytical, written, and communication skills.
• Dynamic public specking and presentation skills.
• Some travel may be required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening as requested.
