About the role:

This is a full-time role with a base compensation plus quarterly commission pay structure, and reports to our Oregon Market Manager. You will play a key part in maintaining, developing, and fostering account level relationships across sales channels as well relationships with our distributor partners’ sales reps in Oregon. Your specific focus will be in the Willamette Valley, downstate, Central Oregon, and the Coast. You will directly contribute to the continued growth of pFriem.

 

A breakdown of your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop account level relationships primarily in the Downstate/Central Oregon/Central Coast areas, as well as relationships with distributor partners.
  • Develop and maintain an organized list of target accounts in the territory.
  • Increase and maintain permanent core draft distribution, and effectively manage seasonal draft rotation.
  • Represent the brand at field sales and marketing events.
  • Ensure a high level of chain execution (ad/planners display, trade marketing POS execution, price surveys, tag and shelf management, merchandising).
  • Support Distributor purchasing agents and pFriem Market Manager with inventory management recommendations and insights to help minimize out of stocks and aging inventory.
  • Identify opportunities to drive new distribution across sales channels: on premise, c store, specialty retails etc.
  • Create brand ambassadors through education, impactful works withs, crew drives, team building
  • Rack, restock, build displays, and POS placements as needed.
  • Event planning and execution; typical events include tap takeovers, beer of the month, staff education, happy hour promos, beer dinners, festivals, etc. On average 13- 17 a quarter.
  • Sponsorship activation support during events.

Your qualifications & skills:

  • College degree heavily preferred.
  • 3+ years of work experience in the alcohol beverage industry.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the craft beer business.
  • Ability to formulate account strategies and execute against them.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Creative presentation/public speaking and premium selling skills are a must.
  • Strong sense of urgency, commitment and experience achieving results.
  • Experience working in competitive, team first environment.
  • Self-driven, organized, and flexible to grow and learn new systems and processes.
  • History of developing, maintaining, and motivating account and distributor level relationships.
  • Embraces successful organization and clear communication regarding sales contacts, selling tools, activities, and planning.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Professional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, retail reps and consumers.
  • Very comfortable using basic Excel, Word, VIP iDig, VIP KARMA, Google Sheets, and social media.
  • Must be capable to use hand truck and/or move 140lb kegs as needed.
  • Must be flexible with working hours, nights and weekends are regular.
  • Strong basic or higher-level knowledge of keg draft systems to troubleshoot issues at events or elsewhere as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license free of any major violation in the last 24 months.

The location

You will be based in the field in the Eugene/Corvallis area. You get to work for a company located in one of the most stunning locations in the PNW! pFriem is located at the Hood River Waterfront Park with epic views of the Columbia River Gorge. We host employee parties multiple time of year as well as open to the public festivals such as our summer kick-off party, annual anniversary party, and Oktoberfest. Needless to say, you will have plenty of reasons to visit and celebrate with us!
