COMPENSATION PACKAGE:


JOB TITLE: Lead Cellarman and Brewer

LOCATION: Naperville, Illinois

POSITION TYPE: Full-time

REPORTS TO: Head Brewer

COMPENSATION: $53-65k per year (DOE) + benefits, including 401k and health insurance plus potential bonus opportunities.


POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Lead Cellarman and Brewer, you will be a key player in the brewing process. You will lead cellar operations while assisting with brewing, packaging, warehouse, and lab tasks. Your role will evolve based on your experience, initiative, and dedication to crafting high-quality, non-alcoholic beer.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead cellar operations, ensuring all processes are followed with precision and care
  • Oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of the brewhouse, cellar tanks, and other equipment
  • Set up and manage the brewhouse (grain handling, mash/lauter/boil, transfers)
  • Operate canning lines, including the depalletizer and tunnel pasteurizer
  • Run the centrifuge and keg washer and manage other packaging equipment
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in top working order
  • Maintain accurate records of brewing, cellar, and packaging processes
  • Assist with lab work, maintaining quality standards, and adherence to good manufacturing practices


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Flexibility with hours, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to safely work with chemical and physical hazards
  • Capable of lifting 55 pounds and maneuvering up to 165 pounds
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and climb ladders up to 16 feet
  • Forklift driving experience (training provided)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • A keen attention to detail and a passion for cleanliness
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety
  • Background in brewing, engineering, microbiology, or chemistry preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools
