Ten Eyck Brewing Company is seeking an energetic and responsible lead brewer to join our production team in Queenstown. The right candidate will have a proven track record of producing great beer, as well as strong management and interpersonal skills.

Ten Eyck Brewing Company is a women and veteran owned production brewery on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We produce a variety of clean ales, foeder-conditioned lagers, ciders, and mixed culture beers. We have a beautiful tap room and a large outdoor beer garden. We stress quality of life and a strong work/life balance within our brewery family.

Position Requirements

  • Ability and drive to produce a quality product
  • Have a minimum of 2 years professional brewing experience
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Have incredible attention to detail
  • Have a valid driver’s license 
  • Have the ability to work and function in a manufacturing environment while wearing PPE
  • Perform as an integral member of a team
  • Ability to take initiative to identify and solve problems

Job Responsibilities

  • Wort production, according to our recipes and protocols
  • Filling, emptying, & preparing stainless steel tanks, foeders, & barrels for aging and fermentation
  • Raw material ordering and management
  • Properly transferring beer
  • Processing fruit
  • Cleaning tanks & barrels according to our SOP
  • Packaging and labeling
  • Recipe formulation
  • Safely operating a forklift, pallet jack, and personnel lift
  • Maintain workplace safety while upholding quality standards and standard operating procedures
  • Periodically represent and work at festivals and events
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment and infrastructure
  • Maintain extreme cleanliness of the beer production area
  • Work with the entire production team

Preferred Skills

  • Lead/head brewer experience
  • Brewery/winery laboratory practices 
  • Canning & bottling packaging experience
  • Forklift certified
  • Fundamental knowledge in microbiology and/or chemistry
