Canning Packer PM – Trumer Brewery, Berkeley CA

Trumer Brewery specializes in making Trumer Pils, the most awarded German-style Pilsner in the world. We have an opening for a Canning operator at our brewery in Berkeley. At Trumer we focus in great detail on the process and on excellence in brewing and operational fundamentals. The Canning Packer’s duties will be focused on canning operations. Duties will include performing a variety of routine canning and cleaning procedures, as well as occasional work in racking, bottling, beer filtration and special projects as needed. 

·        Full Time, Second shift PM 

·        Shift hours 2:00PM to 12:30AM. Four days per week, Tuesday to Friday.

·        Works safely and follows all safety procedures. 

·        Participates in training and safety programs to enhance job performance and knowledge

·        Is responsible for understanding Trumer’s hazardous material and safety procedures and adhering to these procedures when and where applicable

·        Must be physically capable of rotating into and out of several workstations

·        Experience with Wild Goose Canning machine a PLUS!!

·        Ideally has minimum one year’s experience operating Can Machine

·        Performs routine canning line work, such as loading operating supplies into assigned machines, ensuring smooth machine operation and alleviating problem situations. 

·        Work is primarily in a standing position throughout the shift

·        Responsible for upholding the quality standards of Trumer Brewery

·        Cleans equipment and workstation.

·        Operates CIP system for line cleaning and tank cleaning

·        Notifies Supervisor of equipment, supplies, or scheduling problems and repair needs  

·        Occasionally loads and unloads kegs onto the keg conveyors and monitor the racking operations

·        Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, such as housekeeping projects and line set-up, etc.  

·        Position is Full Time and includes benefits and Shift Differential pay.
