The primary responsibility for this position is to ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical and manual machines and support systems, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to)

·        Supports the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values.

·        Maintains and repairs all production systems including all pumps, heat exchangers, chillers, boilers, air compressors, conveyors, packaging and process systems, etc.

·        Assists in maintaining and repairing facilities, to include both pubs and the brewery.

·        Works with contractors and outside service personnel as required.

·        Ensures that all work meets prescribed standards of quality and ensures compliance with all laws, safety procedures, policies and codes.

·        Detects and reports to the Supervisor any unusual conditions, defective materials, faulty equipment, and equipment operating or installed incorrectly.

·        Aligns, adjusts and calibrates machines according to specifications.

·        Maintains records of repairs, calibrations and tests.

·        Schedules and details documentation for all PM work done.

·        Monitors and keeps properly stocked tool cabinet in the shop.

·        Operates forklifts and other material handling equipment, as necessary.

·        Performs duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.

·        Maintains attendance and punctuality according to company policy.

Non-Essential Functions

·        Provide assistance in other areas as required.

·        Perform other related duties as assigned.


Specific job duties:

Required Experience:

3+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; experience troubleshooting electrical, and PLC based control systems (Allen Bradley preferred); experience maintaining packaging equipment, conveyor systems and process systems; ability to read and follow complicated drawings, specifications, and handbooks. Preferred: experience with CMMS; MIG and TIG welding (sanitary welding preferred).

 

Education/Certifications(s): High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree in an industry related science preferred.

This position may include frequent interruptions, working alone, evening work and working long hours during peak periods. Noise level moderate with PPE.

·        Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for up to 4 hours at a time.

·        Lifting, carrying, reaching 25lbs. and less – frequently

·        Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 75 pounds on a seldom basis.

·        Must be able to climb on an occasional basis.

·        Continuous mental and visual attention is required as well as performing complex tasks to very close accuracy.
