Job Summary:


Burlington Beer Company is seeking a full-time Marketing and Events Specialist to join our team. We seek a dynamic, creative individual with a profound love for craft beer and a strong background in marketing and event management. This in-person role reports to the Sales and Marketing Director and will assist the brewery owner and other managers in enhancing the Burlington Beer Co. brand through effective digital strategies, creative content development, event coordination, and customer communication.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Marketing:

  • Create and schedule engaging content with high-quality photography, video, and copy for social media posts, advertisements, and general needs while adhering to our marketing pillars. 
  • Monitor and manage all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, Untappd, TikTok, etc.), ensuring timely and engaging responses to DMs and comments.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and schedule content across all digital channels.
  • Create digital and print advertising materials as needed and as directed.
  • Aligning social media strategy with business goals.
  • Planning and optimizing paid social media campaigns.
  • Collaborate with influencers and partners for co-marketing initiatives and strengthen relationships with social media influencers.
  • Lead cross-functional projects that involve social media elements.


Events

  • Coordinate and assist in planning, marketing, and executing on-site branded events (e.g., Anniversary Party) and off-site events (e.g., major beer festivals)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and community partners.
  • Represent BBCO at beer festivals, non-profit events, and other promotional activities.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no regular direct reports but may supervise employees scheduled to work at special events.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • A comprehensive understanding of regulations, as they relate to alcohol marketing, advertising, and service, is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills to track expenses and work within a budget.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain positive relationships.


Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred, as is four years of marketing/communications/event experience at a regional or national craft brewery.
  • Passion and enthusiasm for craft beer, community engagement, and creative marketing.
  • Must be 21 or older, possess a valid driver's license, and have a clean record.



Physical Requirements:

Ability to:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and manage physical setups for events.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift or carry up to 60 pounds occasionally.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
