Cellar/Brewer-Second Shift

Fiddlehead Brewing Company, located in Shelburne, Vermont is a brewer owned business. We have a simple approach: make great beer, insist on quality, hire passionate people, and ensure the beer is fresh on tap or in a cooler near you. Available in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, Fiddlehead ended 2022 as the 36th largest producer of craft beer and in 2023 we sold more than 90,000 barrels of beer. In 2022, Fiddlehead was awarded Brewbound's Craft Brewery of the Year. 

As our growth continues at a swift pace, we are hiring a new 2nd shift cellarer/brewer to join our operations. 

Production Staff: Cellar/Brewer

Department: Operations 

Reports to: Head Brewer 

Cellar/Brewing Staff- Cellar/Brewers are utility players responsible for wort production on a 60 bbl automated Rolec Brewhouse along with cellaring duties. 

Essential Responsibilities:

 Including, But not limited to the following:

- Participate in all brewery operations including, but not limited to: 

-CIP cycles; General cleaning and organizing.

-Centrifuge Operation

-Dry Hopping

-Brewing - Operating 60 bbl automated Rolec Brewhouse. Responsible for Following Brewhouse Procedures and Following Recipe Guidelines to Maintain a Consistent, Quality Product

-Data Entry

- Follow all company policies & procedures and strive to maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.

-Safety & Security—the individual observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly. 

- Performs all other duties as expected 

Skills: 

- Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. 

- Planning/Organizing: Prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently. 

-Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment as well as delays or unexpected events. 

- Dependability: Consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance. 

Requirements:

- 2 years of experience in a Production Brewery 

- A strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to changing situations.

- Reporting: Maintain accurate notes.

- Lift 55 lbs. from ground to shoulder high.

- Lift 110 lbs. from ground to waist high and moving 150 lbs. along the floor. 

- Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders. 

- Work safely with chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations. 

- Work in loud environment with basic safety accommodation 

Shift

5 days per week 2-10pm
