POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to become the General Manager for both NoDa Brewing Co. taprooms, North End & the OG. This role requires someone who can craft & execute strategy to consistently provide an exceptional experience for our guests and team. The ideal candidate will have a growth oriented mindset; will be a scrappy and resourceful leader with experience in training, developing, and leading a team of service professionals; and have a passion for and knowledge of craft beer. Additionally, this person will work closely with our in-house Events Coordinator to ensure success for on & offsite events. NoDa Brewing Co. values enthusiasm, determination, and extensive experience in the high-volume food and beverage industry.

Over the last 13 years NoDa Brewing Co has become one of the largest craft breweries in the region and our taprooms are a destination for all things craft beer, local arts, & entertainment in Charlotte, NC. While we are known for our IPAs (our flagship Hop Drop N Roll, a west coast IPA, won Gold at the World Beer Cup) we offer a large array of styles so that we have a beer for everyone.

GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of experience leading a team in a high volume establishment in the service industry.
- A passion for and a strong knowledge of craft beer.
- Demonstrates attentiveness to guest needs, team member performance, details of company policy and needs.
- Effective financial management, budgeting & forecasting.
- Proactive and efficient problem solving, and strategic thinking to set the taproom up for growth & success in the long run, not just the next shift.
- As a leader, displays a professional and positive attitude at all times. Can use and enforce adequate complaint resolution procedures to get concerns addressed rather than display open negativity or poor attitude.
- Practices and fosters a culture of safety & inclusivity.
- Effectively leads the entire Taproom department including Taproom managers, Bartenders, Events Coordinator, Tour Guides, Run Club Director.
- Flexibility in schedule, with the ability to work evenings and weekends where needed.
- Experience building a strong culture both internally and customer facing in the taproom.
OTHER DUTIES
- Analyze business activities to increase efficiencies and profitability.
- Hold all Taproom team members accountable to taproom operating procedures and customer service standards.
- Set the standard of service and always look for ways to improve upon the service.
- Ensure the taproom and outdoor spaces and equipment are consistently kept well maintained and welcoming to the guests.
- Takes any appropriate disciplinary action for taproom managers and team members as approved by HR.
- Consistently drives sales providing accurate and consistent reporting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Ability to read, write, perform mathematical computations such as adding, multiplying.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members in a respectful and timely fashion.
- Clear aptitude for use of e-mail, word documents, and spreadsheets as implemented with GSuite.
- Ability to work with coordinating multiple teams and projects at once.
PHYSICAL/ MENTAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is required to be on his/her feet for a large portion of the day/shift. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, or feel tools or controls; must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects including kegs and full glass racks; must be able to move 150 pounds of mass off the ground.
- Must be able to sustain constant audible and visual attentiveness.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Production environment, including hot areas, sharp objects, heavy machinery, and fast moving equipment.
- Office environment, including fluorescent lights and computer screens.
- Bar environment, including wide temperature range and weather conditions, precise tools, and heavy or fragile equipment.
- Flexible schedule that can vary from week to week; work required on some weekends and holidays.
