Kings County Brewers Collective (KCBC) is looking to hire an experienced, organized, and generally awesome person to serve as one of our NYC Sales Representatives. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your primary focus will be to sell KCBC beer to on- and off-premise retail accounts, as well as assist with brand partnerships, outreach activities, events & festivals, sponsorships, donations, and other sales & marketing duties as needed. You are a passionate lover of craft beer and will be the ultimate representation of the KCBC brand. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong, human relationships between customers and our brand, in order to maximize sales and growth.


Duties will include:

  • Work to maximize sales within self-distribution territory and achieve or exceed specific sales goals
  • Work independently and in coordination with KCBC leadership to develop new sales accounts and maintain/grow current accounts
  • Communicate regularly with customers in person, by phone and via email/text
  • Maintain up-to-date database of customers, contact info, and meetings
  • Proactively program and oversee KCBC beer-related events with on- and off-premise accounts to promote sales and deepen relationships
  • Deliver sales & market feedback to KCBC leadership team by remaining current on sales data, pricing, industry trends and other activities
  • Assist with delivery of beer to self-distribution accounts, as needed
  • Enthusiastically represent KCBC at festivals, tastings and other general promotional events
  • Deliver outstanding customer service
  • Perform sales activities in compliance with all alcoholic beverage regulations, at all times
  • Other miscellaneous sale duties, as needed


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum one year of beer sales experience in NYC
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Excellent communication & relationship building skills
  • Must be meticulously organized and punctual, with outstanding time management skills
  • Sufficient beer expertise to conduct tastings and educate drinkers
  • Exceptional team player and a strong self-starter
  • Strong knowledge of craft beer industry and its retail consumers
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills and aptitude, specifically working with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
  • Experience with sales data writing, reporting, and analysis
  • Proficiency with draft beer systems preferred, but otherwise willing to learn
  • Must be able to lift or move more than 50 lbs
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be awesomely passionate about craft beer!


SALARY & BENEFITS

  • This is a full-time field sales position consisting of fixed base salary plus commission. Salary will be commensurate with experience and will be reviewed annually. You may be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. 
  • Cicerone certification training costs covered, if applicable
  • 80 hours per year paid vacation (accrued weekly and available after 60 day probationary period)
  • Paid time off for New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
  • 40 hours per year paid sick leave
  • Beer perks! Draft pours in the taproom, cans, KCBC schwag and more!  
  • Up to $100 stipend to use upon hire for safety toe work boots/shoes (required to wear while working in the warehouse or doing deliveries)
  • Monthly cell phone allowance
  • Work mileage reimbursement
  • Monthly budget to spend on meals and entertainment at KCBC accounts and/or leads
  • Potential travel, as needed
