1/1/2023 -- Gorges Polar Bear Plunge

Brunch, beer, hot drinks, and a cold trip to the beach for a wintry dip in the Columbia.

Agenda:
10:00 – hot drink & Course 1: honey Greek yogurt, house made granola, blackberries
• Hot Buttered rum
• Spanish Coffee
• Peppermint Patty
• Cocoa or Coffee
10:45 – march to the beach with Cascade Locks Fire, music and merriment (costumes encouraged)
11:00 – PLUNGE! At the beach
11:30 – Course 2: BUFFET with bacon, scrambled eggs,house-made biscuits and country potatoes
11:40 – Barrel-aged beer taster

11:50 – Course 3: choose one
1. Prime Rib hash with peppers OR
2. Ciabatta french toast with peach compote and brown sugar whip
12:00 – Course 4: Dessert – Blackberry coffee cake
$70 ticket includes gratuity (goes directly to servers and cooks) and 10% of ticket sales goes to Trailkeepers of Oregon
We’ll have access to the city pavilion to warm up right after the plunge and then we’ll all hustle back to Gorges for food and drinks and to warm back up!
Cascade Locks Fire/EMS and PNW Rescue teams will be on site as well (mostly for moral support)! We’re also working on bagpipers but it’s not official yet
