MobCraft Beer’s Sour Fest returns on March 26th with 30+ MobCraft Wild and Sour beers on draft.
MobCraft Beer is hosting their fourth annual Sour Fest on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 12pm-11pm in the taproom and brewery located at 505 5th Street in Milwaukee. Sour Fest is a hybrid of a traditional beer fest, a pop-up bottle shop, and a taproom party. MobCraft’s taproom will be free and open to the public all day, with the bar pouring a variety of MobCraft Wild and Sour beers.- Over 30 MobCraft Wild and Sour beers will be tapped throughout the day. Admission to the taproom is free and open to the public.
- Sour Fest also features the Wisconsin Wild and Sour Sampling Sessions which highlights sour beers from breweries across Wisconsin. The VIP session, which allows early access to the tastings, runs from 12:00pm-3:00pm and tickets are $60 each. General admission sessions run from 1:00pm-3:00pm and 4:00pm-6:00pm. Tickets for both GA sessions are $45, which includes unlimited samples and a commemorative sampling glass.
- Wild and Sour beers from MobCraft and the guest breweries will be available for purchase in the pop-up bottle shop open to the public, including a limited release mixed 4-pack of the 2022 Sour Golden Ale Series: Sour Golden Ale 2022, Sour Golden Ale Hibiscus Pineapple, Sour Golden Ale Lulo Persimmon and Sour Golden Ale Raspberry.
- Select non-sour beer options will be available on draft throughout the day.
In addition to MobCraft, other participating breweries include 1840 Brewing Company, Component Brewing, Hacienda Beer Co., Oliphant, Radix Fermentation, Sahale Ale Works, Supermoon Beer Company, The Fermentorium, Third Space Brewing, Young Blood Beer Co., Lion's Tail Brewing Co., Eagle Park Brewing and Distilling Company, Rookery Brewing Co. and Gathering Place Brewing.
Along with MobCraft’s annual and seasonal Wild & Sour releases, there will be an abundance of limited-releases and cellar pulls available at this year’s festival. Highlights include:
- Low pHunk Sour Ale Lemon Meringue Pie.
- Sour Golden Ale Fruited variants - Raspberry, Hibiscus Pineapple and Lulo Persimmon.
- Sour Golden Ale aged in French Oak Puncheons with raspberries for 15 months.
- Existence Belgian-Style Sour Ale vintage variants - Raspberry, Apricot and Cranberry.
- Existence Belgian-Style Sour Ale aged in our foeder then finished in a Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrel for 15 months.
