Founders Brewing Co. has announced the return of the Firkin Freezeout for 2022.

Founders Brewing Co. has announced the return of the Firkin Freezeout for 2022. After a brief hiatus in 2021, this year’s dual celebration, taking place on Feb. 19, will mark its 8th year at the Grand Rapids taproom and its first year at the Founders’ Detroit location.

Grand Rapids’ Freezeout, hosted in the brewery’s Beer Garden, features a variety of 24 firkins, small unique casks with specialty brews allowing attendees to sample a wide variety of Founders Brewing creations, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Detroit location will serve from eight firkins from 11 a.m. until sold out. Both taprooms will offer food specials, including Chef Eddie’s award-winning chili in Grand Rapids and Chef Jason’s recipe in Detroit, Founders’ house bratwurst chili, white chicken chili and a vegan option.
