1/7/2021 -- Catawba Brewing’s 2021 Passport Program Takes Off with “Hindsight Is 2020” Doppelbock

Hindsight Is 2020 is the 1st release in Catawba’s 2021 loyalty program, returning for its 5th year.

Catawba Brewing releases a Small Batch Doppelbock, "Hindsight Is 2020" (7.5 percent ABV), at all four Catawba tasting rooms – draft and crowlers to-go. Brewed in their 7-barrel Asheville brewhouse, this smooth German-style dark lager is brewed with Munich malts, softened by just a touch of Midnight Wheat, then fermented slow and cold. It showcases aromas and flavor notes of rich caramel, bread crust, toasted nuts, toffee, raisin, and a hint of chocolate.

"Hindsight Is 2020" is the first release in Catawba’s 2021 Passport Program, which returns for its fifth year. The program offers rewards, exclusive tastings, and pre-sale opportunities for customers (“Frequent Flyers”) who try the brewery’s weekly Small Batch releases.
