Two Denver companies team up for a fun, contactless way to celebrate Int'l Beer Day this year.

Paruzal, the Denver-based, live-hosted, online escape-room company announced today that it has teamed up with one of Denver's most popular taprooms, River North Brewery, to celebrate International Beer Day on August 7th in a unique fashion: with a virtual game night.

This year, celebrate International Beer Day in a safe, contactless way as Paruzal Games and River North Brewery offer individuals, teams and families the ability to solve live-hosted, interactive puzzles using the Zoom video conferencing tool from the comfort of home with their favorite local brews. Players explore rooms for clues that will ultimately free them from their adventures before the clock runs out. All while communicating in real-time with one another and enjoying specially paired beers.

Since 2012, River North Brewery, a group of small, independent Denver brewers, have been crafting their signature "Adventure Fuel" for Colorado residents. Both of River North's taprooms are open for onsite consumption at limited capacity with social distancing and mandatory masks required. During this time, founder Matt Hess felt he was missing one critical ingredient: engaging with interesting people.

Enter Paruzal Games, with their menu of challenging, multi-player, virtual, game rooms. Together, the two companies have developed a unique way to bring people together for a night of camaraderie, team challenges, and good beer (or virtual adventure fuel).

"International Beer Day was always meant to be shared with friends," said James Warner, co-founder of Paruzal Games. "Given the COVID-19 restriction on our social gatherings, we thought this virtual game night would offer a fun, safe way to enjoy a tasty beer and celebrate with friends or family."

"This year, we're calling it Virtual Adventure Fuel," says Matt Hess, the founder of River North Brewery. "We're really proud of the pairings we've developed for these variously-themed rooms. Escape rooms are all about discovery, and this is a great way to discover some new micro-brews."

Participants can choose from four Paruzal online escape-room adventures and pair them with the locally brewed River North beers of their choice. If there's any trouble deciding, River North and Paruzal came up with beer pairings for each game:

Ep. 1: Trapped Under Water & River North's White Witbier
