12/6/2020 -- Holiday Sip & Craft at Catawba Charlotte To Benefit The Carolina Thread Trail

Wreath-making event at Catawba Charlotte features fundraiser beer release, hot toddies, and more.

Catawba Charlotte is hosting a wreath-making event on Sunday, December 6th, 2-5pm. Guests will make a Holiday Kissing Ball under the expert guidance of a professional crafter. Craft stations will be set up outdoors with an emphasis on safety. Participants will be physically distanced in accordance with CDC guidelines, while interacting in a fun, creative, social environment.

Holiday Sip & Craft will benefit The Carolina Thread Trail, whose mission is to create a legacy of conservation and connectivity through a regional network of trails. This non-profit is near and dear to Catawba, as The Greenway Trail weaves its way along Sugar Creek just a block from the brewery in the Belmont Community. Catawba staff and customers frequently bike the trail before meeting at the tasting room for a post-ride beer.

The price of admission ($28) includes wreath-making materials, a bowl of holiday soup, and a hot toddy served by local celebrity mixologist, Jaquan Bowser. Catawba will release a new Small Batch beer in honor of the event called Charlotte Chew, a candy bar-inspired pastry stout, available on draft and in taproom-exclusive 4-pack 16oz cans. An additional $1 from each pint and $2 from each 4-pack of Charlotte Chew sold will be donated to The Carolina Thread Trail.
