Dogfish Head's Shadow & Substance bottle release, schedule for Friday, March 20, is canceled.

Here at Dogfish Head, our top priority is the health and safety of our visitors, co-workers and community. Out of an abundance of caution, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our coastal Delaware locations for a week, starting tomorrow Friday, March 13. This includes our Milton Tasting Room & Kitchen, Rehoboth brewpub, Chesapeake & Maine and Dogfish Inn. We've also decided to cancel all events during the month of March. The newest beer out of Dogfish Head’s ‘Wooden … it be nice!’ wild beer program, Shadow & Substance is dropping on Friday, March 20 at 4 p.m. Stop by our Milton Tasting Room & Kitchen to grab your bottles!

Shadow & Substance was brewed as a dark sour ale base, fermented with Brettanomyces Drei and Brettanomyces Brux, and aged for 18 months in used red wine barrels. After being finished with cherries, figs and cascara for tart flavors of cherries, dark fruits and cocoa, it was bottle conditioned for a bright and effervescent carbonation. Hand-bottled – cork and cage style – and hand-painted with a special stripe signifying its uniquely-crafted touch, (375ml) bottles are priced at just $10 each! No limit.
