Wiley Roots Slush Summer Patio Party

Last year we introduced our Slush series as a fun summer seasonal that spoofed America’s favorite drive-in. We even kicked off the series with a few Slush commercials (bit.ly/wileyslush), replicating some of our favorite Sonic classics. It was our goal to communicate that sour beer is suppose to be fun and introduce mildly-acidic sours to new fans.

At Wiley Roots, we brew beer for people that are a bit different, that enjoy the weird, and surround themselves with the odd. We believe in the extraordinary and the unusual, the experimental and the unique, and the “this shouldn't work but does”. Slush is a perfect example of what we believe, because it has no limits for our creativity. While we make some barrel aged sours and spontaneous sours that take a lot of time, we wanted to create a sour beer series for everyone that wasn’t so damn serious. Last year we accomplished our goal. This year, we are taking things to the “next level”.

That is why we are proud to announce the return of Slush and introduce a brand new Tiki Sour IPA series: Boat Drinks!

Starting April 12, 2019 at 12pm, we're kicking off our Summer-of-Slush with the inaugural Weekend Slush Party on the patio, complete with on-site only variants, to-go variants, TWO frozen slushy machines, patio activities, and a special food menu.

Slush is our summer rotational, fruited sour series, featuring flavors inspired by our favorite drive-in drinks. We start with our kettle soured golden ale, then add a touch of creative fruit and adjuncts, to create unique flavor combinations, delivering a refreshing drink with a mildly acidic base. To kick off the season, we will be releasing Purple Slush, Blue Slush, Raspberry Limeade Slush, Double Cherry Limeade Slush, Slusholada, Slusharita, and Real Dill Slush.

Boat Drinks is our new Milkshake Sour IPA series. Since the weather is getting nicer, we’ve decided to take our Sour IPA game in a new direction inspired by classic Tiki cocktails. This new series of beers showcases tropical fruits and spices, alongside a juicy and tart New England Style IPA base beer. Deck Shoes is our first release in the series, recreating the classic Mai Tai with puréed mandarin oranges and pineapples, toasted coconut, and a touch of pureed sweet cherries.

Weekend Slush Party starts on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 12pm and ends on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 8pm. We will be allocating kegs to last the entire weekend, but all cans to-go are first come, first served starting Friday, April 12, 2019 at 12pm.

No reservations or holds and we cannot ship beer.
