Join us at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats on Thursday, July 4, to celebrate all things independent with the debut of In Tandem, a special, draft-only Independence Day beer brewed in collaboration with our pals at Revelation Craft Brewing Company … and after you’ve tried our version of this warm weather quencher, head on over to Revelation’s Rehoboth taproom to try theirs!

A summer-centric Hefeweizen, In Tandem features Sussex County malt and wheat donated by Proximity Malt in Laurel, and local strawberries – hand-picked by Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione and Revelation founder Patrick Staggs – from Magee Farms in Lewes. Our version of In Tandem also includes the addition of nutmeg fruit to offer slightly sweet and nutty notes. Revelation’s version contains vanilla and locally-harvested lavender from Lavender Fields in Milton for fragrant floral aromas and flavors.

Both we and our friends at Revelation are kicking off the freedom-filled fun at 10 a.m., each with the release of 200 (32oz) In Tandem-filled browlers. The perfect outdoor accessory, these limited-edition, plastic, water bottle-shaped growlers fit perfectly into almost any bicycle’s drink holder. Browlers available only with the purchase of In Tandem, while supplies last. One browler per person, per location, folks … we’ve gotta share the goodness!

All proceeds from browler sales, as well as $1 from every glass of In Tandem sold, will be donated to the Sussex Country Land Trust to support their work on the Rt. 9 Trailhead, the area that will mark the halfway point between our Milton brewery and Revelation’s Georgetown facility on the newly-expanded Delaware Rails-to-Trails bike path.
