11/29/2019 -- Allagash Brewing Company's Give Back Friday Sock Drive

Join Allagash for a sock donation drive, volunteer sign ups and limited edition beers.

Deeply committed to its community and giving back year round, Allagash Brewing Company will be celebrating the holiday season of giving by hosting a sock donation drive for Preble Street, a local non-profit organization creating solutions for homelessness, hunger and poverty in Portland. As socks are one of the most-needed items at homeless shelters, Allagash is encouraging tasting room guests to donate a pair of socks during this five-day drive. Guests who donate a pair of socks will receive a pour of Allagash’s Estate Cherry Beer, a very limited tart beer made with cherries grown in Allagash’s backyard orchard (while quantities last – additional special edition beers to be poured as needed).

In addition to the sock drive, Allagash will have sign-up sheets for local nonprofit volunteer opportunities. As always, in lieu of gratuities, tasting room staff will encourage guests to make donations to a charity of choice.
