Join Island Brewing Company in Celebrating their 17th Anniversary.

This year marks Island Brewing Company’s 17th Anniversary Celebration. Friday, July 13th - Sunday, July 15th, this seaside brewery will embrace a weekend of frivolity, live music, bicycle antics, and release its 17th Anniversary Ale.

Friday, July 13th, the brewery’s 17th Anniversary Bourbon Barrel-aged Imperial Amber Ale will debut. Several months ago Island Brewing Company brewed an Imperial Amber beer inspired by the Avocado Honey Ale, one of its core beers. This complex beer was destined for bourbon barrels from conception, aging four months in American Oak cooperage and weighing in at 21 IBUs, 8.5% ABV. Island Brewing Company has won many awards for its wood and barrel-aged beers and the 17th Anniversary Ale seems a likely contender to continue this tradition.

Friday features music from 'The Youngsters' 6-9 pm and Saturday features music from 'Skamakazie'.

Sunday, July 15th features the 4th annual event of balance and hilarity that is the Slow Bike Race. A course will be marked in the parking lot and the brave and balanced will compete to see who can negotiate the three-foot wide, 50-foot long course as slow as possible. There will also be a kids division. Then activities switch gears, so to speak, for the first ever Longest Skid Contest. Competitors will get their bikes up to speed, lock up the wheels, and certified judges will be on hand to measure the burnt rubber.
